Question by Jon H: Deleting Farmville account (not just application-READ CAREFULLY)?
ok so a “friend” who had access to my facebook signed me up for this stupid farmville application. Now I am trying to delete my account from their system. However, if you use the method where you go in and “delete” your farmville (using the x etc) this DOES NOT delete your farmville account. It only deletes your farmville application from your facebook. I signed back up for farmville to check that everything was truly deleted and sure enough the farm my friend had created for me was still in their database and she could still send me items even after I had blocked and deleted the application, I just no longer had the farmville app on my facebook
Does anyone know of a way to go in and delete your actual farmville/zynga account from the zynga database. I read somewhere it takes up to 6 months of inactivity for them to remove you from there database, however i refuse to believe that they can hold onto my information for that long..

When you remove the application, it stores your farm data for 3 months in case you want to come back. (At least, it’s 3 months for Mafia Wars, I am assuming it’s the same for Farmville but it could be 6 months like you said)
There’s nothing you can do about this. You can write to Zynga about it, but I doubt they would care enough to do anything about it.
Why don’t you just remove the app and ignore it? They don’t store personal info of yours like your name.
